Lot 1243 WWII GERMAN SA DAGGER BY BORN.

A good example of a WWII German SA dagger measuring 14 1/2" overall with a blade etched "Alles fur Deutschland". The blade is marked on the reverse "GEBR BORN SOLINGEN (logo)". Nickel silver crossguard is stamped "Wf" on the reverse for the Westfalen SA Group. The matching pommel guard is also nickel silver. Brown wooden grip with inset eagle and enameled SA button. Brown anodized scabbard with nickel silver mounts and original hanger. CONDITION: blade shows light wear with light scabbard marks. Grip also shoes light wear with a few minor dings to the wood. Scabbard has good finish with a small dent in the base of the knop at the bottom. Hanger is worn and flaked. PROVENANCE: Estate Collection of John "Jack" Dhooghe. (02-25563/BF). NON-GUN. $350-500.
